Pomegranate Again


This is an updated version of the pomegranate painting I posted early this week. It had a lighter, warmer background, and when I saw it online I thought it looked it too subtle, and posed the question whether I should I darken the background. My blogging buddy Virginia Floyd suggested that it would make a more dramatic painting, so here is the changed version. I'm pleased with outcome. Thanks Virginia!

    Nice painting! And I agree that Virginia's suggestion was a good one. The darker background really brings out your beautiful reds!

    Beautiful painting, Claire. The dark background definitely pulls that fruit out!! Amazing how the color change in a background makes the difference!! I would love my blogger friends to tell me suggestions on my paintings!

    I like this new version more than the other one. On this paint we can feel the art and can appreciate the colors. Keep up the good work.
