This is a fabulous painting, Claire! Wonderful values on those apples. I really admire the two-toned apples. I find that a really difficult thing to paint. I love the way the fabric folds swirl around the plate. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDon't tease me with your workshop!!! Wish I can join!! This painting is gorgeous!!! So many details and love the folds of the fabric..and wonderful colors...Love it!
Absolutely gorgeous painting.
ReplyDeleteThank you Virginia, Hilda, Martine and Karen. I'm excited about my workshop and appreciate your kind comments on my painting. It's now in the collection of gourmet urban grocer who loves apples, which is kind of fun. He has it in his office.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura! I wish I could click through to you, but Blogger has changed the comments and now we can't see the blogs of those commenting. I'm not happy at all with this change!
DeleteOh my gosh, Claire! This is absolutely stunning! Your colors and composition and EVERYTHING just amaze me. Beautiful painting! Best wishes with the workshop!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Kathrine. And thanks for the good wishes on the workshop! What do you say to an artist? Break a paintbrush?
ReplyDeleteStunning, Claire! The folds, the plate, the fabric, everything is so complex and so perfect!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great workshop. I envy your lucky students!
