These are the last two painting additions I'm making to my Oak Bay Artists' Studio Tour Show. This has been a very busy week of framing and organizing, not to mention cleaning, but I'm feeling pretty good about how everything looks. My family are going to be my assistants throughout the show, so that should be a lot of fun to have them there helping me. The only stressful thing at this point is the weather. It's calling for snow! Now if you live in Victoria you will appreciate just how ridiculous this is. It rarely snows in Victoria! Anyhow, I'm sending out all my good Karma vibes so that if it does snow tonight, it will turn to sunshine before the first visitor arrives. :-) If you do live in the area, I'd love to see you! Remember to double click on the brochure in the right side bar for the tour brochure and map. Wish me luck!
Bisous
Hi Claire, nice post
ReplyDeleteBeautiful paintings as always Claire. Good luck with your show....wish I could be there to see it and hope the weather holds out for you.
ReplyDeleteThe snow was mostly gone here. I hope the roads were clear over in Victoria. The snow might get people into the spirit of the holidays and thinking of what wonderful gifts they can acquire while on the Tour.
ReplyDeleteHope this was the case. :-D
I looked at the brochure, Claire. The tour looks awesome. Wish I lived close enough to visit.
ReplyDeleteI really love the asparagus on the plate!
Hi Everyone, thanks so much for your warm wishes and good thoughts! It snowed all around my neighbourhood but no snow fell on Oak Bay! It was really cold and the wind was cruel on Saturday, so the numbers were a bit hampered, but the event turned out to be a great success none the less! I met so many wonderful art loving people and had some great conversations about my work and my process. It was well worth all that cleaning! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it didn't snow. We have our AC on today! It's about 80 degrees. Of course, the weatherman is saying this is unusual weather. (Isn't it always?) But we are supposed to have a cold front come through on Wednesday, so It should seem a bit more like Thanksgiving by Thursday.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful holiday!
